A dirty sprite made for a conceptual weapon, Though I do have an idea for possible usage for it.

The weapon's gem changes colors according to the chosen element. Each color represents each element
Examples of how the idea could play out:

Red: Fire
Yellow: Wind
Blue: Water
Green: Earth
Purple: Void/Darkness
Orange: Holy/Light

The bottom handle of the wand can also double as a melee weapon (ala Heretic staff) with an increase in damage output due to the sharpness of the bottom spikes, but the melee range is decreased a tad due to the shortness of the wand/staff.

The sprite itself could use some significant cleanup before usage in total honestly, but I'm not exactly the world's best pixel artist, even I have my limits. Plus, the thing's made entirely from scratch.
(See conceptual/prototype design attachment, and you'll see what I mean.)

Or it could be used as a replacement Gold Wand for Blasphemer or some other Heretic mod, take your pick.

I haven't made the hud sprites yet, I'm working on them currently.

Update:
Made a small little hand-held lantern 15-20 minutes ago, another nice and symmetrical shaped sprite from scratch. It was made because Blasphemer was missing a torch powerup sprite, but can be used anywhere. Go nuts.

Update 2:

Realized there were 2 more frames open for animation, so a little animation was added to the flame inside. Like so.

A few frankensprite things I've been working on...

This crossbow needs improvement on the glow effect.

oh, and one more thing, i think that bowstring should move when it's fired, it's basic thing for bows or crossbows!

If you want to be accurate, there should be little movement of the string itself, it's the arms of the bow which provide the energy. A common mistake is to believe a bow's string to be elastic, like in those rubber band slingshots every child has made; a real bow string on the other hand is not elastic.

You can see this issue in a lot of video game renditions of bows. The limbs don't move at all. The string stretches to hilarious distances, usually because the arrow is also absurdly long. It's easier to animate this lazily, I guess.

(Semi-related: The favorite "elves are not as strong as humans" and "elves use bows" tropes combined. Come on guys, have you ever tried to draw a bow? It's an entirely different muscle set from swinging an axe around, but no less demanding.)

on the other hand Amulets & Armor's crossbow sprites only has a quick little ptwing and the sprite simply nudges (with no other frames). Gets hilarious if you use the item slot exploit

at least turok's bow went back.

Could work as a supercharged nailgun. Neat.
