I can't believe I almost missed these, these are freaking great! I like the Manc variant, your artstyle has always been one of my favorite!Vader wrote:Decided to try to finish some old monster concepts:
Attack animation is still WIP!
She'll have a weapon for sure! Probably a pistol in the same pose as before, but I'm also doing an unarmed set for reasons.Captain J wrote:good to go, now she need a gun to fight with demons, obviously. give her an uzi, maybe?

Thanks for the comments guys!
@Essel:
The attack sequence is actually based on the Revenant, so yeah that comparison makes sense
@Captain J:
My idea is to make the monster puke out little blobs of slime/acid wich will chase the player and explode in a fountain of goo when close enough:
I will add more particles to the explosion in-game!

Those sprites could sorta also work as a replacement for Duke3D's protozoid slimer

I'm definitely up for that, hehMarty Kirra wrote:Haha I knew it! But I'm fine with this! That is just made of win. That name also gives me an idea for a Samsara/Doomvengers knockoff mod ...The Thing Thing wrote:ZHeroes

Also, the rotations were rushed.

I think it would look better if one leg was stepped back more. The "3" angle in particular looks very unstable; like he is about to topple backwards like a rigid plank. Putting one leg back to stabilise him would make sense IMO.

I just noticed that, thanks to your reply. I might fix it soon.Enjay wrote:I think it would look better if one leg was stepped back more. Looking good.ArmanAhmadi wrote:I'm working on the rotations for the alternate pain frame from the SS Guards. Some rotations need improvement and the other three angles will be done when I have the time.

Went for something different on the fire, I used Doom 2's RROCK2 texture for it. I still can't sprite the pickups, and it irks me.
