that completley depends on how you edit it. remember, Doom2 monsters are model rips aswell. just remastered.Ghastly_dragon wrote:Though the design is very similar, the style is so model-rip-ish that any edits to that set would stick out like a sore thumb. It would also clash really badly with native Doom 2 sprites.Mr.Green wrote:AWSOM! Now we can finaly make the Vagary for Doom 2.

Reshaded versions of Cory's ICD-SE knife. For better or for worse, who knows?

Not the same kind of models, though. Solid, physical figures made of clay or latex; not the same thing as 3DStudio Max. You could as well say that a photograph of someone like Kate Moss is a model rip!.+:icytux:+. wrote:that completley depends on how you edit it. remember, Doom2 monsters are model rips aswell. just remastered.

The colors on the third and last one don't quite look right to me. Perhaps try another set of shades or make 'em true color?

I always thought these sprites would look better if he didn't have the knuckle dusters on.Ryan Cordell wrote: Reshaded versions of Cory's ICD-SE knife. For better or for worse, who knows?
I also think your ethnic zombie sprites, Nightmare, are pretty cool. Good for variety.

I like the ethnic zombies. The chaingun guy looks surprisingly pale when using the same colour as the other white former humans.

Re: [SPRITES] Spriting Carnival!!
New hunters have arrived... lemme just say, some of these are edits of the old ones (I made the P1 more P1-ish, the P2 more P2-ish, etc.), so everything is as I want it.
Removed the dreadlock beads, simply because they looked too weird.
With the orange beads gone, I felt it was okay to use the orangey-brown color for the loincloth; get even more accurate. Didn't want any color conflict before, so... yeah.
The eyes are now black. The yellow ones stuck out too much and made the Preds look a bit less intimidating.
A little note on Borg... he's green. That's the way he is (he's one of the lost hunters at the end of the second Predator movie), so I MIGHT make a sheet just for him, as long as I can recolor the original Imp sheet green. All the other heads don't need body recolors... except for maybe the P2 -- he might need some dark red shading between the muscles, but whatev. For the most part, the heads and masks are interchangeable.
As for the armor, I might double the chest pieces for the AVP-style Preds. I could also recolor the armor bronze for the P2.

Yeah, those are well done. I don't see why hell would be picky about skin color, after all. As I recall, Marty Kirra did some zombie chicks (his words) too, so we even have that covered.Enjay wrote:I like the ethnic zombies. Yeah, wouldn't do much for his accuracy. But he'd need 'em to protect his hand since he takes his gloves off first.Captain Awesome wrote:I always thought these sprites would look better if he didn't have the knuckle dusters on.

One thing I'd like to see is a good military-issue combat knife...

Re: [SPRITES] Spriting Carnival!!
Yet another update. I thought I was done with the Pred sprites for today... when I had an idea. I was working on getting a more Wolf-ish skin tone for the Wolf (duh), when I realized that the new tone I came up with was more accurate for EVERY Pred. So I ditched the Imp color scheme and went with the dark colors found on the Hellknight. I recolored my Imp sprite sheet to a similar color.
The picture you see here is a comparison of the two skin tones. Which do you think is better? I'm currently lovin' the new one.
