Very nice. It looked like you had to edit the parts where the hand was. That must of been a pain.

It wasn't much of a pain - most of the hard work was in editing it before resizing the base image.Carbine Dioxide wrote:Very nice. It looked like you had to edit the parts where the hand was. That must of been a pain.
Since the magazine wasn't well received, I've produced magless versions:

EDIT: Tried to start on a scope, and felt that, while the general shape of the rear or the scope is what I'm looking for, the rest of it seems unsatisfactory, and thus doesn't really work as an acceptable base:

Something resembling the scope from Halo 4's Binary Rifle or the internal scope in an Evangelion's entry plug would be close to ideal, though preferably larger overall compared to the rest of the weapon.
Crossing my fingers and hope that Slax is gracious enough to do all of the hard work for my lazy ass...also, the latter example would be preferable for design purposes.

That scope's shape is looking good so far. Anyway if you don't like it, why don't you make it upside down?

Very nice stuff, although the red lines on the head are too square in the front sprite.raymoohawk wrote:messing around with the freedoom imp

Re: [SPRITES] Spriting Carnival!!

Could do with some more futuristic looking metal. I'll try some stuff. Rear sight thing could be used as a scope brace. Hmm...
Ancient serial markings begone!

Metal looked antique. Tried fixing it.

And then I developed a grudge. Dat damn thing...

Re: [SPRITES] Spriting Carnival!!
The rear sight looks a bit odd, as if the back of the gun is subtly twisting to the right. From the given perspective, the sight should appear horizontal.Slax wrote:[Gun]

Re: [SPRITES] Spriting Carnival!!
Yeah, the whole thing is sorta tricky. At this point I'm thinking that a big scope will either add to or fix the perspective madness.
Whole thing needs to be rotated a smidge from the getgo, methinks.TheRailgunner wrote:Spoiler:

Hm.
Artemis SP-S (Storm Platform - Standard).
Get a few crates of surplus rifles. What do? Assemble something cool and effective, reinforce, WIN.
Artemis might not be the best of names.

Re: [SPRITES] Spriting Carnival!!
The Makoto Arms Type 763, nicknamed "Straights" for a boxing technique, is a high-caliber infantry rifle that takes the same US Army .30 caliber cartridge as the classic M1 Garand. However, in typical Makoto Arms foresight (or lack thereof), the Type 763's original design schematics were accidentally mixed up with those of the Type 545 close-quarters personal defense weapon. As a result, the Type 763 acts like a designated marksman's rifle, but bears an impractically short ten-inch barrel, miniscule magazine size of nine rounds (single-stacked), and a collapsible stock that tends to collapse itself (and the shoulder of the poor sap firing it) from the recoil forces involved. That said, though, the Straights still managed to find success among clandestine operatives in third-world countries due to its high concealment factor and ease of obtaining munitions.HazeBandicoot wrote:
