Re: [SPRITES] Spriting Carnival!!
Two things:
1) Did you make these sprites with a transparent background? I see the moving blades kinda blending into the cyan, and I think you're better off using a transparent background instead for the sheet.
2) The shadow on the logo is kinda on top of the last frame. Can you move it away from the sprites?
Both of these kinda make this sheet unusable, if you intend to let others use it.

Re: [SPRITES] Spriting Carnival!!
now that's an good feedback, also i do use the mspaint for edit the whole sprite thingies, too. and transparent the back ground with pixlr, instead of gimp or photoshop. anyway it's the example how it's done by my hand again; not just what i wanted, anyway you gotta do something about light reflection on that gun like what original browning have. it's still mild and gloomy to look.Deimus wrote:i feel like its too long, the barrel doesn't really match the handgaurd. tip should be smaller? idk.
Cyan color at the bottom? Thats probably the accidental smear.
I keep the background colored so its easier to edit in MSPaint.

Re: [SPRITES] Spriting Carnival!!
pretty good, damn my edits still looks the only video game comparison i could find are these
either it can be can go stylistic or keep it real-life.
in game it looks fairly 'ugly' and i think its a but to make an aesthetically pleasing sprite, but i'm no sprite expert and just winging it.
Im not very good with shading maybe it needs proper shading.

hmm i think if the left side was fixed and have that sight grove it might be a good base. The right side looks decent.Captain J wrote:not just what i wanted, anyway you gotta do something about light reflection on that gun like what original browning have. it's still mild and gloomy to look.

I don't know, what do you think?
Don't really take this serious if you think you are being insulted, it's not meant to...

Re: [SPRITES] Spriting Carnival!!
A couple things:
1) There should be darkening where the finger meets up with the palm, since atm it looks like it's about in the same position as the midsections of the other fingers (read: a bit too far forward).
2) The finger itself seems a bit flat in terms of shading; you should take the highlighting of the palm on the left side and apply it to the extended part of the finger.
I think my version can serve as an example of what I mean, though I think you could possibly do better:
