Woah, so much feedback! :o

Yeah, that could be an issue. I was thinking about recoloring it red after I finished, though.

I'm not sure whether to take that as a complement or not... :|

But anyway, thanks for all the support!

EDIT: First frame, recolored red:

That's a compliment (you don't see many goofy enemies around here do you), and it's not like making it less goofy Image would be excruciatingly hard.
But please, don't force it into the doom palette like that - there are no upsides to it.

Well, I don't know any way to use SLADE to recolor sprites without moving them to a palette. The alternative for me is leaving it brown and recoloring the head manually.

Gradient maps are pretty awesome for recolouring things. You'd need something besides slade to do that though.

Considering that what you're seeing is two elf twins - Dowan and Duvessa, from Dungeon Crawl Stone Soup (which is a roguelike!), that's not very surprising. :p

and as the most avid abuser of gradient maps on this forum i can only say
get photoshop today regret never
don't forget to get a (drawing) tablet so that you can enjoy life

I edited an old sprite from somewhere, and it turned out pretty cool. (I would appreciate it if someone could help with the credits on this thing.)

Adjustable layers? of course, I mean if thats better than GIMP or mspaint, but people have their own opinions...
