I think the alt-fire simply sets it down instead of tossing it, assuming it even has one.

During school, I got the idea of cell-shading weapons. I dunno:

Re: [SPRITES] Spriting Carnival!!
got bored and did these rotations based off of the phoenix rod projectile sprite.
so, with that in mind: these might be considered fine by those standards but to me, they hurt my eyes
feel free to use and/or alter/improve...
oh and to answer...
not sure if this has been done already but I thought I'd give it a go anyway as I liked the concept. I didn't like them in-game, however, because of the odd effect of 'sliding upwards' that you get when long-projectile sprites are moving diagonally up/down on the vertical axis. (kind of like doom rockets or baron-balls. Or the duke3d rpg projectiles). yeah, I know what you're thinking, they look OK but we're kinda all used to those for so many years, right? so, with that in mind: these might be considered fine by those standards but to me, they hurt my eyes

Re: [SPRITES] Spriting Carnival!!
wait, also there's got imp's fireball with full rotations too that exist for a long time ago. and it's bit longer;
from qstyle.pk3. and it's tail is almost looks like a revnant's one, though. and i think caco's fireball should be work for with it.You do not have the required permissions to view the files attached to this post.

Re: [SPRITES] Spriting Carnival!!
that is far too close in appearance to a revvie-ball to ever be accepted as an imp-ball.
It could easily be mistaken for one in game.
I used the heretic projectile as a base so that it would still look DooMy without ever being mistaken for another existent DooM monster-projectile.

Really? I never had any trouble discerning them from revenant fireballs in Zero Tolerance.

Re: [SPRITES] Spriting Carnival!!
Yeah I sorta' just spammed the brightness and contrast to make it darker, this is because Mike12's original sprite was too bright to match my other pistol sprites. I'll get around to fix it.Captain J wrote:yes. but it's still darker and ugly to me, though. i wonder if somebody could recoloring this...

you're welcome!Ravick wrote:I'll never be able to thank you enough!
oh, maybe I should try that other fireball in game then...
*edit*
just got hold of that mod and tried out the fireballs, man do I have to say I eat my words on that one! they look amazing in-game. and in no way can they be mistaken for revvie-balls!
forget mine, in fact I will start on redoing them for the caco-ones now! LOL
*end*
anyway while I was at that I did these, more kdizd alterations: I decided that the map1 'seismic bomb' in the mod looked too different in style to fit in with the other doom pickups and items to me, so I knocked up a new 'C4' from a shotshellbox mixed with bits of the pda!
also re-envisioned the 'battery' of map6 as I never really understood why a cell-battery was a giant tank-shell...
again, kinda unnecessary to most peoples opinion, but they bugged me so as far as I was concerned, they had to go...
