(At least, that's what I do.)
Alternatively you could do what I've started to do and have a bad taste in your mouth while giving absolutely no shits about it.

the on thing you need to know is, i don't make mac sprites but fixing it for improve their new form without any flaws they already have. in short words, i'm improving them, not making them.

A personal thought, the flash from the shotgun should reflect in the metallic body armor, that would make it look fine

I don't see unfinished lazy parts in any of the sprites. You do know that the ones found in the MAC version were first used in the Jaguar port? That's why in the objects, the shadows are brown, because in the Jaguar port, the floors were brown not gray. That's where laziness came in, they should've either made the floors brown in the MAC/3DO ports, or they should've recolored the sprites.

here's the differences between original and mine. i just disliked about original's stucked ugly 'barnacles on the bottom of the battleship' like 4x4 pixles. otherwise, it's pretty looks unfinished for my eye. or i just became blind for little but, it's just my hobbies to do and share for each peoples for wfw anyway.

well, sorry. but it's too late. i can't stop right now til it's finished.

Oh, had you fixed the mutant? The shooting flash and blood when dying are from 64x64 versions.
