Am I allowed to do this?
Took Craneo's Shieldsaw sprite and tweaked it

does that look better in use? it comes across as somewhat less complex here on the forum page.

it does remind me of some of the edits I used to make back in some older days, when i would try to make stuff seem more clean and less uneven, and only use colors that are directly adjacent to each other on the palette since i thought it was wasteful and non-optimized to skip any.

I am pretty new at spriting, so that's probably exactly what happened.

It looks pretty good, very clean. If that's the vibe you're going for. The gritty look is good too though. Have you worked on any other dark ages related sprites? I was looking into doing an angled skull feeder gun if that's what it's called.

It is good to be cognizant of the powers you have at your disposal! And certainly better than just using the microsoft paint colors, though controlling it is an art. I started calling lack of palette control "Super VGA syndrome" after I noticed its prevalence in 256 color shareware games.
The edit version of that sprite might look better in brightly lit areas than the original due to lacking the dark edges.

Strife peasant with the beard and hair from the merchant. The sprites are in LMP format, since the strife palette has a few duplicate colors, and when i just imported them as png some colors were incorrectly using a duplicate color and thus werent affected by translations

I remember someone uploading smooth pinky animation here, but I can't find it anymore.

Hi there too! It's been a while since I've been here... B-)

Here I present you also a franken-sprite update I've done recently for the Armageddon big-boss enemy sprites included in my H-Project mod, which are going to be featured in next release...

Image

Yup, I wanted to give this monster a bit more imposing appearance than before (it really needed it, in fact) so instead of keeping the old-known Mancubus head, I've given it a kind of Golden Lich mask/helmet... :grr:

NOTE: this was not originally 100% done by me, credits to SunMadcat (and ID + Raven Software companies, of course) for the mixed sprites used.

Cheerio everyone, have a nice day... 8-)

he that is hilarious, although the creature's back or at least the tanks should probably be in front of the helmet in the 5 and 4 angles.
