Re: [SPRITES] Spriting Carnival!!
..I know i'm nitpicking but, the top of his head looks pretty different in the last 3 frames. Compare with the first one that has a darker (gap?) in the middle of the head as if it had no skull on the top, so the skin would reflect the shape of the brains. Imo the top of his head is kinda wrinkly, and not all smooth like in those last 3 frames.

Um, I agree. In any case, it could be that the muscles of that part were tense before it died.

Started to sprite DE's Aracknight. I can already see the tedious work that this edit will involve.

You're making the arachnotron into a real [demonic] spider? That's a great idea; I can imagine it being in dark areas of the depths of hell, firing micro-fireballs

Kinda. Just like I have the mancubus get Hell-forged weapons in episode 2 as the Corpulent, the Aracknight is just a arachnotron (more evil looking) with a hell-forged walker.cq75 wrote:You're making the arachnotron into a real [demonic] spider? I like your thinking on this. It makes a lot of sense for there to be versions of the enemies that have not got any influence of modern/human technology on their body. It will really help to underline the descent into increasingly hellish areas.Eriance wrote:Kinda. Really looking forward to seeing how this Aracknight looks when it's walking. It's a bit of a shame though that the legs and the brain section are almost the same colour. One should be brain coloured and the other more bone-like. However, I guess that is a limitation of the palette (and consistent with what other sprites have been done already).

Indeed -- not only does it look badass, but it really gives them some character compared to their mechanical equivalents on Earth. Both of them appear to be field-manufactured creatures made from materials handy on each native world. Mobile weapons with tons of retrofits in the Invasion versions.

To all the people trying to make an angled shotgun,i've opened the dreadus' shotgun model in blender and took a picture
I think if you use this (naturally by properly scaling it, and making it less model- like) you'll get a nice angled shotty.
