Hehe, neat thus far... I don't suppose you'd be willing to make some in-between cycling frames though, would you? Two-frame animations don'y always look the nicest.

Great to see a Doom super nailgun for sure! I wonder how much editing it would take to make it look less obviously-SSG.

It's not bad but, yes, an extra intermediate frame (or two) would make it much smoother.

Nice to see this weapon in Doom though.

Not bad. In the 2nd/4th frames, the bottom barrels look too close the top ones though. Also, the weapon doesn't look like its rotating. Rather it looks like you're just shifting the barrels up since the barrel are too far apart in the 2nd/4th frames (that or they're too close in the 1st/3rd ones). Below is a image demonstrating what I mean, just in case you're confused.

This is a cross section of the 4-barrel configuration. The distance A (green) should be significantly shorter than B (red). Also, you might want to add some shadow to the rotated frames to show that the weapon is rotating rather than you just moving the sprites around. It will add more detail so people can't tell you've copypasta-ed the barrels.

Great point there.... quick edit, as per Eriance's advice:

Image

A 2-frame animation is viable now, at least. Would love to see those intermediate frames though, if someone's brave enough to tackle them.

Hmmm... it still bounces around a bit between frames and I think that, perhaps, the 2 frame nature of it is more obvious now.

IMO Joeys animation looks better. But it really needs those inbetween frames to look good.

The barrels have different vanishing points between the 2 frames (they should have the same VP). That might be a problem as well. Also, moving the side barrels down, and the center barrel up a bit will help.

I feel that the top barrel should be flipped on the first frame so that the shading corresponds with the shine on the right barrel. (But what do I know)

Also, That new mugshot looks amazing.

You are right about the lighting, as well.

I like that. Very in keeping with the Doom appearance yet a different character.
