Probably more accurate to say:

Agent Diaz is of normal height. I'm used to the Doomguy being a sawn-off runt. (either that or a tall guy with eyes in his chest). ;)


The height thing takes a little getting used to, but I like it. In fact, the mod is very cool in general. I like the pain effect (even if it can be annoying). It works really well and has a MOHAA sort of "ouch, that really hurt me" kind of element to it.

I find the height just a tad too tall. bring it down like 8 units and I'll be happy.

I think the eye height is currently sitting at 52 - which is perfectly reasonable for an actor with a height of 56. Taking it down by 8 units would set it at 44 - only 3 more than the standard 41. I don't think that would be noticeable enough to be worthwhile.

It really isn't that Diaz is too tall. The Doom guy is too short. If you've been playing other games for a while, then come back to Doom, you feel as if you are crawling everywhere. And, to be fair, most of the human enemies look all squashed and squat too.

Well, according to the lore established between me and Marty Kirra, Diaz isn't supposed to be that tall - so she really shouldn't be towering over an average-height soldier.

A new version of the mod has been uploaded:

new features:

- The return of flame deaths. The flame troopers' flamethrowers, fuel pack explosions, and Psi Fireballs can now trigger flame death states. Just remember, though, getting the flame troopers to fight each other is pointless as they only take 25% of the damage from fire attacks.
- Added lightning deaths for the Psi-Amp's alternate fire. These only trigger about half the time due to a much-lamented lack of damagetype customizability for rail attacks.
- Added disintegration deaths for the Neutralizer. yes, you've probably seen these before, but hey, I like them!
- All melee attacks now go through ghost enemies. If you're out of ammo, run.

fixed bugs:
- The mummies in Heretic will no longer randomly give you three .45 clips at once.
- Adjusted the drop frequency for the undead knights so that they're more likely to give you a Mauser rifle and far less likely to give you a box of ammo for it. I found that I'd have full mauser ammo in Heretic and no weapon to use it with.
- The Tome of Power effect in Heretic was originally set to do quad damage for 60 seconds when used - this has been reduced to double damage due to the high frequency of Tomes in Heretic.

Is it possible to have the lightning randomize how spazzy it is, to make it seem more like actual lightning?

With an eye height of 52, she wasn't. She only had an eye height 2 taller than POSSA1.

Has her speed been changed from the default? I hadn't really noticed that. Or is it just that she slows when damaged (which I like).



Oh, I love the lightning deaths. BTW, lighting particles teleport - is that intentional?

I haven't done anything with the player's default run speed. I'm too afraid of breaking existing maps that require you to jump long gaps.

No, it isn't - should be fixed for the next version.

Another thing: The AR kicks ridiculously hard, to the point I find it hard to control than the MG without the bipod.

Yeah, that I can agree with. Plus, it feels really weak compared to the RPK. Maybe you could either make it a bit stronger or adjust the recoil just a bit to make up for how weak it is now.

The amount of jumpiness doesn't seem to be implemented yet. It either jumps or it doesn't.

If you can provide player sprites for Ms. Diaz, be my guest. I have not yet found suitable female graphics for the player.
