Console Messages and Saved Games
I'm not sure if this can be considered a bug...
One nice feature of the console is the ability to scroll through messages printed to the screen. However, these messages are apparently not included in the saved games. When you restart ZDOOM and restore from a saved game, the console is cleared. It would be nice if these messages were restored along with everything else from a saved game.

It's one reason we added the playback message consoles in DaD. I doubt there are many people who have the time to play a hub through one sitting. Unfortuantely, there is a bug in DaD that prevents the hub messages from collecting properly. Right now, the array that holds the messages is clearing itself when the player visits a new map as opposed to a new hub.Graf Zahl wrote:That would make a long savegame eventually...

If I recall, one problem is that if a console log is active, it isn't still active after a savegame restore. I'm not sure I see any point in that as long as some line in the logfile says that the game was restored. For the most part a console log is used for researching a bug or a particularly confusing area (in which case a restore may be likely).

because somebody (likely HotWax) will sayBioHazard wrote:nobody stands on a watermelon waving a ham and a rake while wistling jingle balls backwards with a rock in your pants and pencil in your ear
Somebody (probably HotWax) wrote:I do every thursday! i cant belive that you would make such a rash judgment about people! I'm going to start a flamewar now!
EDIT: you forgot to seperate the items with commas! you will burn in hell (if poster == HotWax){ with RandomLag; }!
