Re: The WIP Thread
Shadsy did the geometry. I'm doing the texturing. Between us, we have no idea what we're doing.

Re: The WIP Thread
Are you atleast treating the water?
Looks like something I'd see in Quake or Unreal engine.

Doom 64 meets Doom 3 but without foggy atmosphere?
Also holy shit the water looks satisfying

Something being cooked

Re: The WIP Thread
I spy some ZDCMP2 textures here, the RESEARCH ANNEX and WEAPON LAB signs were made specifically for it IIRC. Also the blues seem to hint at a custom palette; from ZDCMP2 too or from something else?
Bold use of Doom's cement textures, as well; they're generally underused.

Yeah, there are textures from ZDCMP2 as you mentioned, the palette is from 32in24-15 though.Gez wrote:I spy some ZDCMP2 textures here, the RESEARCH ANNEX and WEAPON LAB signs were made specifically for it IIRC. Also the blues seem to hint at a custom palette; from ZDCMP2 too or from something else?
I have mixed feelings regarding cement, it has the potential to be a great texture but it´s a pain to use. I had to create several variants of it to be able to use it without killing myself in the processGez wrote:Bold use of Doom's cement textures, as well; they're generally underused.
Re: The WIP Thread
Your SSAO settings seem to look a little different than what GZDoom defaults to - care to share your settings? :) Looks dope!Guardsoul wrote:Something being cooked :PSpoiler:

Re: The WIP Thread
I think I showed this months ago, just wanted to share a quick video.
No ETA and several things are still placeholder, but thing is definitely taking some good shape.
And yes, this map will be discarded as it was a testmap sketched to test monsters dynamics.
The mapper is very competent, so can't wait to see what will he do next, as I already saw some of his finished levels for other projects=P
And right before they throw me to the wolves, here's the Twitter link where you can follow the project as we working on.

Re: The WIP Thread
DogGAMN I'm envious of those mapping skills! Seriously wicked stuff, especially the first one!Guardsoul wrote:Something being cookedSpoiler:
