Hey, Serious Sam is the king of the modern "waves of enemies" FPS genre.

I think the focus has shifted alot from arcade-style gameplay like Doom's to alot of games trying to put across a realistic (or hyper-realistic) experience with less focus on endless carnage.

Here's some Monster X-death things i made last night. Nothing fancy, lots of copy and pasting in MS paint and pixel editing.

I might make more for other monsters, but only if it seems necessary (if the monster dont already splatter on death).

The obvious answer would be to telefrag it.

Since it's apparently possible to kill a Cyberdemon (4000HP) with a single BFG blast, it should also be possible to gib a Baron (1000HP, 2000 damage to gib) with the BFG.

You must be confusing the 'Cyberdemon' with 'Spider Mastermind', I have YET to see anyone murder the Cyberdemon with a single BFG shot.

You definitely can not gib a baron with the BFG: It can only deal 800 damage in a single strike, bearing in mind that not only do the tracers count seperatly but the individual tracers count seperately from each other, the reasoning as to why the shotguns can't gib.

Hadn't though about the telefrag thing, though.

I made the gib frames for DE. There are a few weapons that garantee a Gib. :D. And you can Gib a Baron with the MDK command, lol.

EDIT: I fixed some minor mistakes with the previous sprite sheet.
