The whole idea behind releasing them was for heretic/hexen-y maps. Although I intend to use them for something a bit more...unseen.

Wait, these texture are from Heroes of Might & Magic?
Maybe I'm drunk or something, but I remember playing at least Heroes 3 and recently 5 in Hotseat, but I don't recall any place where textures could have been used other than maybe models.
I'm confused, although i don't know Heroes of Might and Magic 6, I wonder where these textures would appear :?

Well then, Unreal are fscking thieves, because this game was out way before Unreal was

Heh, maybe you're right, but the first Unreal was great anyway

no no no, just Might and Magic 6.

i was using the styles of heroes 1-2 and 3 for comparison of the art between Might and Magic 6 and 7/8.

Sure thing. :)

Hopefully people will find a use for them. I'm sure hexen/heretic wads are going to LOOVE this.
