ActorMover does not work on players in deathmatch

That's it. Just nothing happens on Thing_Activate however it works fine in singleplayer.

Do you have your ActorMover set to spawn in deathmatch?

Yes.
I have the following setup. There is an actormover and a switch that runs a script. The script does setthingspecial to attach the actormover to the player who flipped the switch. However it seems that it is not possible to change the actormover target at runtime... Am I right?
And it looked like it worked in singleplayer because I had actormover target initially set to the tid the first player is given by enter/respawn scripts. It worked okay in singleplayer but did not in deathmatch saying "can't find target NNN" in console. Looks like the actormover is spawned after the singleplayer player but before the deathmatch one.
