Only if you're a pussy who's afraid of the dark.hitmanx wrote:yes a flashlight could be good, but don't make it too useful, like that is what i hated the most in doom3 such pretty graphics but you can't see anything cause it's so damn dark, and you have to pull out you're flashlight every five seconds to see where you are going.

I didn't have to.
The only areas of the game where I needed to use the flashlight were the ones where they intentionally force you to do so, which is maybe 4 or 5 times in the entire game. Most of the time there were dark corners and stuff that I watched warily, but I didn't feel the need to shine my flashlight into every nook and cranny of the base. Even if there were zombies shambling out of the dark which I couldn't see, I could hear them well enough to know where they were.
Though just for kicks I did make a custom version of the Duct Tape mod that merged the pistol and the flash light after I'd already beaten the game. I enjoyed that quite a bit because it seemed a fair balance. If you want your light, you have to resort to using the pistol, making an otherwise useless weapon (after the first 5 minutes of the game) useful again.

lol, my screen must be dark, although it's been a while since i've played it cause i lost the cd key. It should be on the cd case, but noooo. It's only on the instruction book which i lost.
So if i want to play it i have to take out my internet cable so it can't connect to the internet and tell me my cd key is invalid (from limewire lol)

On my copy it's on the inside of the CD case...hitmanx wrote:lol, my screen must be dark, although it's been a while since i've played it cause i lost the cd key. It should be on the cd case, but noooo. It's only on the instruction book which i lost.
Also, make sure you're playing it in the same manner you'd watch a horror movie. i.e. at night with no lights on and nobody watching cartoons in the background. You'd be surprised how much brighter the game becomes when played under the correct lighting conditions.
