Oh, and anything which uses music rom Tyrian has got to be good

Thanks. I follow my patented guide very closely. You should try it sometime!Cutmanmike wrote:Okay well first off I think this is very very very overrated.
I would say something along the lines of "that's doom for you", but then someone would probably get pissed off and write some gigantic rant about how I'm wrong. After 13 years it's rare that I play a map that has traps that aren't predictable. The main nags I have with these maps, though it might be intended, is that they're very predictable.
That's funny, because I found the first few maps (in episode 1 at least) to be some of my best work. But maybe that's just me.Secondly the first few levels were kinda boring for me. I expected alot better, but luckily it picked up after the first few maps.
I haven't had that problem, but I'll look into it. Maybe it's something I've already fixed on my hard drive copy but isn't fixed in the current beta. The thing I hate about this is the HUD. First of all i'd like to mention a bug. In coop it stops working after you die.
Sorry, but that's not going to change. Now it's a lovely hud and everything but WHY am I forced to have it? I prefer smaller one by far, and I don't even get the option to? Sux!
I used plenty, in my opinion.very few used zdoom features
I didn't really find them necessary in my maps, so I've used them sparingly, and in most cases they're there for decoration only. Slopes used for anything else are a nuisance to me.Detail is nice, although there wasn't much slope usage I thought to myself while running through.
Sure, why not.Btw would you mind putting some weapons on the boos room(s)? For those poor chaps who have "Don't keep weapons" dmflag on have a bit of problems killing a ton of nightmare demons and a big boss with a pistol.

Because AgentSpork is trying to be creative with ACS? At least for once its not another lame print, delay, sector, print, delay script that I see in almost every Zdoom wad.Cutmanmike wrote: Now it's a lovely hud and everything but WHY am I forced to have it? Sux!
ah, detail. The most important thing a mapper needs to focus on rather than a fun experience. Simplicity is good enough, and slopes does not make it better. Slopes is concidered an feature, not an asset to a Doom map.Cutmanmike wrote: Detail is nice, although there wasn't much slope usage I thought to myself while running through.
I never cried about anything in that post. Perhaps your satire detector is broken? If you bothered to look at the date on it, you'd see that it was written at least 2 months ago.HotWax wrote: So, Cutman gives an honest opinion of the map, Spork makes a post on his own page to cry about it, and Cutman's the crybaby?
Explain that to me, please.
