Downpour. The prologue to Submerged.

Post by Shadelight »

This is a map I started yesterday, it's sort of a prologue to submerged..Anyway, this is using the textures from NMNPack1. Which I thought had some pretty good textures in it, and...I got inspiration.

Here's a screenshot:

I'd be better able to see it on my home monitor. But yeah, given the bright sky that does look pretty dark.

Lighter darkness levels, or what Afterworldruler said.
Apart from that, good work KoF!

Things like this make me want to break down and get GZdoom.

As far as I'm concerned GZDoom is superior to ZDoom. I play all ZDoom wads in GZDoom.

A little better, but I think it's all in your contrast settings. Adjust your gamma, brightness, and contrast so you can see.

Either that or you really did make the level entirely too dark.

Probably a tad dark for my liking, but looking very great. :P

And like said above, if you are gonna make the map that dark then use a darker sky at least. The sky's brightness makes it look really out of place with the dark map.

I'm not trying to make it dark! If you guys think it's dark, then your moniters must have a really low brightness or something. :P

Mine isn't. Just that I'm forced to use a darker LCD monitor at this person's house...

Anyway. Do the screenies look much darker than in the real game? If so, you may need to brighten them up a bit.

They don't look dark in the real game.
