For you programmers here, I'd like to request a tool that generates the font lumps used as in Doom.
I am NOT talking about HUD message fonts -- I am perfectly aware of imagetool.exe and I know how to create those fonts.
What I'm talking about is the individual font graphics that are stored in Doom pwads. You know, the ones with lump names STCFNxxx. Those internal font things.
At the moment, I have a clumsy way of doing it whenever I want to provide new fonts for my wads:
1) Load the Unreal font pwad that Enjay put on his site.
2) Use (hold your breath) WINTEX to edit the individual lumps - double-click each and every lump to edit them with MS Paint.
3) With my custom font graphic open in Photoshop, I'd copy that, then paste into MS Paint and have Wintex update the graphic.
You can tell this takes ages.
What I'd like is a program similar to imagetool.exe; I would provide the font "template", then the program generates all the lumps required for the internal font.
