My original april fools idea didn't work out due to certain factors, so I'm posting this one instead.
You know what Doom lacks? Weapons with actual in-depth reloading systems.
Sure there's the occasional gem like Tranquility, but that's about it, at least to my knowledge.
So here's my bit of change.
A Swarm of Angry Bees is a single weapon mod that adds the American-180 to Doom, complete with its own special reloading system guaranteed to make your playthrough really fun!
Spoiler: If you want to spoil the fun of discovery with this mod, go ahead and open this spoiler, I dare you.
What makes its reloading system so special? Well I am glad you asked!
The gun itself is split into three different modes of operation: Gun, Magazine and Spool, that are toggled with the Reload key.
Here are the controls for each mode: GUN Fire fires. Altfire clears any malfunctions or disengages the friction brake. (The gun starts with the brake engaged) MAGAZINE Fire loads a round. Altfire rotates the drum. SPOOL Fire Winds up the mechanism 90 degrees, which gives you 12 shots per wind, remember to not overdo it! Altfire Engages the friction brake. Don't forget the friction brake.
