IN THIS MOD:
-(Almost) every weapon from Amid Evil replicated somewhat accurately in Doom!
-An extra weapon thrown in for the absolute hell of it!
-Heavy use of Raven Software sprites & sounds, a Baratus mod staple!
-Amusingly offbrand weapon names, since this mod isn't about perfect accuracy.

Initial release.
The special effects are very good and satisfying. And all the weapons are fairly powerful as well. But like i said on the server, i wish it gets graphical improvement like replacing all weapons to something fitting and accurate. Other than that, pretty decent mod!
Thanks! I suppose the mod is let down somewhat by not having accurate sprites for each of the weapons, but I don't know of any AE sprite rips that exist yet. Making my own sprite rips or creating custom sprites unique to the mod would be doable, but time-consuming. My general modding process is rather slow and gradual.
Stand by for a version update (because I always find stuff to tweak things shortly after putting out a release).
Almost every weapon has been tightened up, especially the Star of Torment equivalent. Impaling monsters never felt so good! Added a few small touches and quality of life changes.

modified staff from Rise of the Triad modified for Heretic palette. Can be good replacement for Azure staff.
and somewhat recolored trident for Voltride
Hey, I love the way this is going right now. Just a few things.
1.) Check the originals. I do like the way Amid Evil weapons work, but try to check the originals because the weapons dont seem to function as closely as i would have hoped.
2.) Consider sprite rip.
3.) Consider making this for heretic instead.
I mean, this can still use some polish here and there, and definitely needs some tweaks to work well with doom.
I agree with Crudux Cruo, this needs to have at least Heretic compatibility and also that some weapons are missing core mechanics.
Staff needs to home on enemies, that's what makes it specific and useful.
And Voltride have the overkill mechanic with the chain lightning. It will probably need some Zscript magic, but I believe it's doable in GZDooM.
WHOA! Thanks so much for these resources neoworm! I almost want to put these into the mod right away!
Thank you for the feedback Crudux Cruo, I'll mess around in AE and get a better feel for the weapons. Some inaccuracies are there just to balance the weapons with Doom's general game feel. For example, the Ether Sword doesn't pierce because ripper damage is very hard to scale back and it's powerful enough as a single-shotgun tier weapon, for Doom's gameplay anyway. Some changes like Voltride's overkill ability seems a bit advanced for my current modding skill.
As for getting it working with Heretic, multi-IWAD compatibility is something I haven't tried before, but I'll certainly be willing to have a go.
