This is so weird - installed 4.4.2 last night and played Project Brutality 2.03, and this happened. Something very weird going on that I thought must be in PB, but it happened this morning as well in vanilla DOOM II: in moving forward, it's like I'm held back, then jump forward over and over. In PB it actually caused a player "grunt" of effort sound every time. Can't think what setting might be the cause. Any help hugely appreciated.
EDIT: just happened in 4.4.1 as well. Please note this is NOT the entire screen freezing - just the player movement. If there are demons, flames etc they continue to move normally. Also happens when running.

Re: Player movement pauses and "lurches" forward, GZDoom 4.4
PB 2.03 is 129 MB
PB 3 is 470 MB
Both play smoothly with GZDoom 4.4.2 and 4.5pre-131
You certainly do not give us enough information, so we have to play the guessing game.
What are your computer specs?
Has this happened before under the same circumstances, or is this something new?
Do you use the keyboard or the mouse for forward motion?

I don’t think the specs are relevant, because I’ve been playing on this computer for years and never had this issue. I’m going to keep working back through all the versions of GZDoom as I have no idea what version I had previously installed.
Movement has always been with mouse; will have a clise look at those settings, thanks.
