Quick question. Is it possible to turn down or turn off the enemies dodge rolling? It's neat, but becomes ridiculous as it's the first thing most enemies seem to do when combat starts. I'll walk into a room with a bunch of enemies, start shooting them, and they all dodge roll at once. It gets kinda silly.

This is a long thread so I couldn't even begin to read it all so forgive me if this has been asked repeatedly, but is it possible to just use the pk3 file and run all three chapters under lastest GZDoom and get the full experience or is that reserved only for the standalone version? I use Hobomaster22's excellent Doom wad frontend DoomLauncher and like to consolidate all my wads into one easy launcher instead of a separate game exe.

The game exe is nothing else than a renamed gzdoom.exe ;)

Ok, thanks for the info. So I'll go ahead and add it to my Doomlauncher/frontend then. What concerned me was that when I just ran the pk3 (v3.0) with GZDoom I got a large, colorful, and sinister warning that took up the entire upper half of the screen that I might not get everything if I don't run the standalone's exe. It scaaaared me :shock: :wink:

You should simply play it as IPK3 and not as PK3 with Doom 2 :)

I'm planning to play Blade of Agony again and I tried to load an addon called "More Weapons" after added that in the launcher.
When I picked up the Grenade Pistol and a similar automatic machine pistol, the game won't let me to switch to another weapon until I used up its ammo.
So my question is should I load any other addons and if yes, which kind of addons do you recommend?

Edit: You don't have to answer that question for me as I replayed all the 3 chapters of this GzDoom fan game.
I enjoyed the gunplay, some misssions and the story line between William "BJ" Blazkowicz and other human characters. :)
Regardless, I'm waiting for version 3.2, which mainly includes the update of the GzDoom source port.

Hello everyone, while real life and job got me busy and way less motivated for modding, some days ago I noticed that someone opened a ticket under GoG Dreamlist to see BoA added as a GoG release.

I don't know if GOG has any rules against fan games but Having Blade of Agony as a free game would be a positive as it would expose the game to demographics outside the doom community.

Alternatively, It would also be awesome to see Blade of Agony get a definitive edition sold on Steam that adds new exclusive content like a new chapter, new weapons and maybe voice acting for the NPC's, Obviously It would have to licenced by Zenimax as its their IP but it would be cool to see.

I don't mean to necropost, but on moddb it says version 3.1 was was updated on February 8th. I couldn't find any kind of changelog, though. Just wondering what changed

So the update to 3.1 reversed the censoring?

No, right the opposite. I downloaded 3.0 before it was retired but it run too slow on my old computer so i never played it xD.

A year and a half ago they said it was close to release.

I'm seeing commits in the Git, so I presume they're still working on it. That being said, I did try the latest bleeding edge release on UZD, and it seemed to freeze every now and then (particularly fast in Geheimnistrager, about 2 minutes-ish before it locks up my game), so it probably still needs time in the oven.
