Love for the square screen?
Recently I shelved my widescreen monitor to focus on using an old 19 inch square dell monitor at 1280x1024 resolution for my GZdoom fun (mainly Aliens Eradication). Have been enjoying it so far due to it's retro look, even to the point I'm using another one for my linux machine I surf the web with. Am I just being a weirdo, or does anyone else like the older style monitors?

Not weird at all — there’s definitely something charming about those old 5:4 monitors!
