It would be nice to see this in a video to check the animations. Also, maybe later a 2x or even 1x res version could be considered for those vanilla purists out there. But first maybe get a pack with ep.1 (shareware) enemies done so people can try it. I am curious about this.

Re: ToonDoom 4xRes Skin Pack_work in progress
I'm going to suggest that the kind of so-called vanilla purists that I have come across in the past won't particularly welcome cartoon reinterpretations of the monsters anyway.
So far these are looking amazing. I really hope that it gets done to completion and a texture/HUD pack would also be most welcome otherwise the sprite style would be in contrast to everything else. However, I appreciate that means much more work.

Doing all the rotations seems like a behemoth task to me. Let's hope the author has enough perseverance to see this through till the end.

Try using DAIN AI sprite interpolation tool to add more smooth/Extra frames so that you will not have to draw it.NorthyToons wrote: I'm keeping the animation framerate from the original game, although if you know how to add extra frames. that would be cool to know.
Its easy to use. App is quite large tho...

Doing the zombieman, sergeant and imp (attack) full rotations would be a godsend. It's hard to not play without the extra sides myself.NightFright wrote:Doing all the rotations seems like a behemoth task to me. Let's hope the author has enough perseverance to see this through till the end.

Sprite-fix fundamentaly fixes any graphical errors in Doom.NorthyToons wrote:Hey Scuba SteveScuba Steve wrote:Lol, I love it what I've seen so far.
Remember, there are more than 2000 sprite entries in the doom2 iwad... and this project only works if you can make everything fit the motif. My advice, don't expand the project using smoothdoom sprites (it's a lot more work and, personally, smoothdoom is pretty ugly), stick to just the base iwad and work on all the sprites there first. I would suggest using the minor spritefix trooper and sergeant sprites so they don't need to be mirrored.
I'm very much a noob to everything. is doing this all this in a ".Pk3" workable in the long run? is Smoothdoom the effect in GZDoom? whats Spritefix?
this is all very interesting, thanks.
Smooth Doom also does this, but with more frames.
I've used this, it's good for adding frames, but you're going to need to touch them up.HAL9000 wrote:Try using DAIN AI sprite interpolation tool to add more smooth/Extra frames so that you will not have to draw it.NorthyToons wrote: I'm keeping the animation framerate from the original game, although if you know how to add extra frames. that would be cool to know.

Aesthetic seems to be on point, i'd suggest capitalizing on the Flobots - Handlebars look as much as you can.

Interesting. Should work well with some more colourfully styled wads.

That looks absolutely awesome ..
The pinky looks a bit strange but other than that ...
AMAZING
I would love to play that with mods like broadsword Jim or any other comic styled mod

I just looked at the artists Twitter and he is working on the Imp:

We will have to wait at least 5 more months, though.
Frozen Particle made a video about the mod:

The Artist also has a video of it:
