Sharp observation. Hard to spot, especially considering there are over 3k sprites in here. Thanks for the headsup, will be corrected in the next release (already fixed on Github).

Anything that adds more sprites won't work (even if it's the same kind), which is what these smoothing projects usually do. Therefore you will have some, potentially a lot of parts in there which won't have the needed adjustments. It will look bad since missing brightmaps will cause flickering. Feel free to try and see for yourself.
