Black Screen When booting Gzdoom

Whenever i boot Gzdoom, I simply get a blank black screen. Nothing. It sometimes even appear that error "Not respoding" when i click at the window. I don't know why it happens! the only thing i know about this is: When i load up a wad that only have 3 or 4 maps, it load perfectly fine, but when i load a wad like doom 2, This happens! Any ideas?

What's your hard- and software specs?

Hard you means hardware space? 19,6 GB.

Ok Then. Can't do it right now, Kinda busy. But a note: I don't think it has do with something with hardware, oh no, Because when i run wads with only a few maps, Gzdoom runs perfectly. Temporaly i'm using Qzdoom.

QZDoom and GZDoom are about 99% alike at this point, except that the dynlight model light branch is merged into QZD and not yet in GZD. It is highly unlikely you'd get a black screen with one of them and not with the other. (this assumes you are using nightly builds - if you are comparing latest QZD release with latest GZD release, then please try with a nightly build of GZD)

Actually, some drivers add in compatibility based on an executable's name. GZDoom has graced the ATI labs in a report before, so it's likely there are some compatibility settings in more modern drivers.

If this is the case, simply renaming gzdoom.exe/qzdoom.exe to the other should solve any problems.

So... uhhh... The only reason why i'm caring too much about this problem is because there are some mods that work only in gzdoom, Like hideous destructor. But anyways, So i didn't get exaclty the problem, Could be a little more especific?
