Hexen and the Tome of Power!

Ok, I've started a project to enable the Hexen weapons to be powered up with the Tome of Power from heretic, things are going well and I've completed the basic versions of the tomed mage wand and fighter gauntlets which work perfectly :D

Here's what I have planned, I'm open to suggestions or better ideas too

Mage weapons

Wand: will spew lots of those blue Slaughtaur fireballs but slightly faster and more damaging per shot.

Frost: possibly some sort of freezing vapour like a flamethower, or throw lots of spiky ice bombs like those things from the Iron Lich.

Lightning: D'sparil ball lightning, heavy damage per shot, possible explosion too.

Bloodscourge: Some sort of overkill massive red explosion perhaps?

Fighter Weapons

Fists: acts like tomed heretic gauntlets a.k.a. a chainsaw but slightly more powerful, possibly leech health?

Axe: Throw red axes like heretic Undead Warriors

Hammer: Maulataur floorhugger projectile, also possibly the small orange fireballs too.

Sword: BFG spray in the form of magic sword slashes from a distance

Cleric:

Mace: Mace glows blue, extra damage like heretic tomed staff

Serpent Staff: Fires like regular Hellstaff/Plasmarifle but with possibly poison damage or some nice weaving/floatbobbing

Firestorm: Archvile attack/tomed hellstaff fire rain thing

Wraithverge: Rapidly fires lots of those flying screaming projectiles from Heretic, they seek, are grey and can noclip!

Maybe once I get some more weapons done I can send them off to some people to test them, I may have trouble getting some weapon animations to work properly though

Heh, should be interesting, i've always wanted to kick asses to those bad monsters... :D
And, Toenail, add some screenshots, otherwise Cutty could get mad... :lol:

i like this idea, and it looks quite good, for the bloodscourge, maybe the sameattack as normally only with hitscan and more rapid fire? =)

In Hexen.wad (at least the version I have, which I know is not the latest version), there are some sprites included in the wad that appear to be unused. They include a green fire (which appears to go with the quietus), a big red ball and accompanying mushroom cloud (which appears to go with the Bloodscourge) and if I recall correctly, there were some others. It makes me wonder if Hexen was originally supposed to have the Tome of Power but was simply removed for one reason or another. Maybe those sprites can be put to good use.
I would suggest that the Serpent Staff be able to drain health from a distance.

Sorry but I've stopped working on it because some weapons simply refuse to work even when coded correctly, anyway I've deleted the file sorry :x
