Linux Mint not recognizing IWADs

Post by Pillowz_Here »

howdy yall,

i'm super new to linux so it's entirely possible this is just an issue because i'm stupid, but here goes: whenever i try to launch gzdoom, i get a fatal error saying it can't find my IWADs. i tried all the things it mentioned, including putting file paths in the .ini file and putting the IWADs in the same directory as the .ini (i forgot the exact path but it told me to try putting them there). literally any help appreciated

Most common reason for that symptom is you need to rename your files to all lowercase since Linux uses a case sensitive file system.

How did you install GZDoom? Not by Flatpack, by any chance?

Not sure about Linux Mint specifically, but for Debian-based Linux distributions this page is usually the best place to get GZDoom.
