I don't know if this is new to 2.0.48 or not, but I definately don't recall seeing it before. If you have the automap set to rotate, the lines of the map fade out slightly as you rotate to 45 degrees and then "pulse" back to bright again when you reach 90. Then back to faded to 135, then bright again at 180, etc.
Not a major issue, but noticeable enough to be distracting. It doesn't seem to happen on the overlayed automap, or at least not enough to be noticable.
