here is what i have done so far:

a hand held stubby shotgun. you will also be able to duel weild this!!!

anyways, this is all the material that i have been working on for this project. right now im a one man team. but i need some help.

does anyone know how to do a cusom HUD? i just want something where the health meter is displayed at the top left of the screen, kinda like halo. or other video games. i want it to be a health bar. the original doom status bar would be gone completely at this point. instead of having the doom status bar, in place of it, there will be the ammo in the lower right of the screen, and there will be a WEAPON display on the lower left of the screen. like, the pickup sprite of the weapon displayed on your HUD. when you change weapons, the weapon will change to the pickup of the selected weapon.

if anyone has any ideas on how to do this. please contact me and we will discuss any business needs.

anyways, as for the wad im working on... what do you guys think? im just coming off from The Corruption wad and i am sending impclaw the remaining weapons for that project. so now this project is underway and is going to get up and running soon!
look for some BETA versions!

You may want to edit the pulse rifle graphic. Using that in a widescreen mode will show how it's cutoff on the side. Other than that, looks pretty okay.

yeah, the hands are going to be added, i just finished these guns and i will add hands later.

I was planning on doing something similiar to your custom HUD idea for a little HL/Halo/Doom hybrid mod idea I was toying with.... I may be able to do it for you, and also get personal benefit from it... I'd have to discuss with you about what EXACTLY you want and I would like for you to draw it out for me in mspaint or something and I'll see if I can meet your needs. 8-)

Where's the "More info please, I've no idea what the theme or story of this WAD is, since you haven't told us yet" button? :)

Seriously, how do you expect us to judge your WIP when you haven't told us anything about it? I presume the generic theme will be "tech", but what about

* difficulty level?
* new monsters or stock monsters only?
* special effects?
* PLOT?
* compact rooms or wide-open spaces?
* "Hey a big room full of monsters, come get some you alien bastards" vs "check those corners"

Get the idea? :)

I want plot. No mods seem to have plots anymore. Whole games, for that matter, lack plots. It seperates the good from the great, the fun from the epic. I'm waiting.

Well Deathsong, if plot is what makes or breaks things for you, you may want to reconsider doom as your game of choice. :P

(But seriously, the plot for it and half it's mods are very thin and uninformative)

The weapon sprites look amazing, very good work, but I want so see screenshots from maps...

All looks pretty good this far, be interesting to see how it goes.

On the subject of HUDs, I just finished (part) of one, the section that monitors health, mana (not HeXen mana), and armour.

It was pretty easy, and I woulda finished it quicker if I hadn't got my maths confused and drawn my gauges to move the wrong way around ;).
