3d sliding doors! A step-by-step Polyobject video guide

This is my first attempt at a comprehensive guide that should hopefully help others with not the simplest feature.

I've made sure I understand polyobjects enough to make 3d finite-height objects like doors and the like, and I've decided to make a tutorial video with step by step instructions.
If someone finds it useful, I will be glad.
