Not sure if this is possible already, but how about a flag for a monster which makes them run the opposite way, in the same fasion as the anubis cheat? And I know it's possible with a negative speed and backwards animations but i'm sure we can be a bit more professional than that can't we?

Enter "anubis" into the command console. Monsters run away from you.

That shouldn't be too hard, seeing as the general code for such a thing exists (getting monsters to run away). I don't know what would be needed to get it as a DECORATE flag, though.

I approve of this feature suggestion.

I second/third/fourth/whatever the adding of this feature. And while we're on the topic, could the Anubis thing be added as a player property as well, to be used in ACS (assuming this hasn't been done already)?

Also, can a way be implemented to create a DECORATE powerup that toggles the anubis effect? Imagine, a real "ogre armor" powerup that makes the enemies run scared while it lasts... :P

Shoud probably make it togglable via ACS too, so you can make powerups that makes monsters afraid of you for a limited time (or make weapons that cause monsters to run away).

I like that too.......

Monster: Haha, I have a Chaingun!
DoomGuy: Ummm, yeah....... *pulls out a BFG9000*
Monster: Ooohhhh, shit! *runs off like Doomguy when meeting a CyberDemon*

That would be some interesting scripting there...

also most of us Doomguys just go and kick a CyberDemon's arse nowadays (good old circle strafing)

Yeah but that method involves good timing (needs to be developed) and remembering to stand away from walls.

Now fighting a group of cyber demons is a different matter. (Without adequete cover I find two to be nigh on impossible, so imagine how many tries it took me to beat that bit in AV where there's something like 6 of them).

Where? I remember max 3 (or 4) at the same place same time. And in Demonic Hordes you have an invul to use.
