OK, here is another old suggestions of mine, which I wish to try yet another time:
How about seperating the Hate Target from Chase Target, so that we could force monsters to follow a regular path even when they are aware of the enemy and would try to shoot at it from time to time.
The Path following system can switch to this new target and would be flagged to hold, even when the monsters aquires a new target.
Well, how about it?

No they would only be forced to follow their designed path even if they growl at the player, poor guys.
But only a sadistic level designer would torture them like this, and would normally place a ranger in that place.
And if my suggestions about state specials were to be implemented, we could program the Demon's specisl for "See" state, and would force it to follow a path to it's "Owner" a Baron, and then we would start an alarm sound and have an ambush on the player, but if he could kill demon before reaching the master, then it would not happen.
OK, day dreaming...

O.K... Yep, that last part was a daydream.
I also thought of something else: doesn't the current path system force a monster to face a certain direction (I may be way off here, I don't play with paths that much)? I'm not saying I don't like this idea, because I do, I just see problems that could come with this.

I tried asking for a similair thing a while backhttp://forum.zdoom.org/potato.php?t=7326
More specifically Sphagne, are you requesting a behavior similair to an actor following the player, or are you requesting something much more specific?
