I do not get black screen flashes either.

But the confirmation about tearing means that this is not a bug.

I had no idea adaptive VSync was enabled. Perhaps it would reduce support requests if it was added as a menu option.

Okay now this makes absolutely zero sense.

I tried enabling it again, and disabling it once more afterwards. Now it seems the demos play back correctly and I'm no longer getting black screen flashes when Caleb prepares the dynamite.

The odd thing is, the first time it happened it also allowed me to close the menu by pressing Escape and leaving only the demo playing with nothing else on screen. After I turned it back on and now off it's fine now and it doesn't allow me to close the menu and leave only the demos playing again. I think it was somehow related to the dynamite meter because it didn't seem to show up anymore the first time around when the black screen flash occured.

What the hell is going on???
