Tiltwheel support
In GZDoom, actions can be bound to MWheelRight and MWheelLeft. I typically use those for inv_next/inv_prev. This doesn't seem possible in Raze at the moment. (Tested in Duke 3D.)

Yes, some mice have a scrollwheel that you can also nudge to the left and to the right, allowing horizontal scrolling. In games I use this often, e.g. vertical scrolling for weapons and horizontal scrolling for inventory.
It's not exactly new.

Re: Tiltwheel support
Peculiar, I had no idea such mice exist.
Must have been living under rocks I guess.

Re: Tiltwheel support
The events are checked but this most likely suffers from the same issue as the vertical mouse wheel.

Re: Tiltwheel support
I saw that's in GZDoom, but I have never even seen such a mouse, that has a tilt wheel.

Re: Tiltwheel support
It tends to be Logitech mice with that feature; though even there, it depends on which model you get whether they identify as MWheelLeft/Right or Mouse4/5.dennisjjunk wrote:I saw that's in GZDoom, but I have never even seen such a mouse, that has a tilt wheel.

Re: Tiltwheel support
I had a mouse like that years ago. It was either Logitech or maybe a Razer. Either way, I found it awkward to use and I kept accidentally pushing the wheel left/right when all I wanted to do was scroll.
But, yeah, definitely not new technology and there are definitely some mice like that "in the wild" so to speak.

Re: Tiltwheel support
I tend to be a bit particular about what I want on my mice (at least two thumb buttons, a tilting scrollwheel, and a freewheel toggle) so I mostly get Logitechs, but other also offer tiltwheels.

Note the little chevrons indicating tilt functionality. You'll see these or triangles on any mouse with that feature.
