
the new "Doom: The Dark Ages" now has a Flight Simulator!!!


Well I'm just taking a little advantage
of this moment.

impossible features goals, ultra-realistic graphics targets and slow framerate performance stopped this project to dead.
but in the past 2023 something important happened
I found the original 3D models of Ace Combat 7
and for pure curiosity I tried to put them in this flight simulator.
Honestly, I don't like AC7.
Its planes are disappointing for the power of a PS4 console
but its poor low poly models was surprisingly perfect for GZDoom Engine
This, combined with some extra "Shaders" make explode the realism of the project:
The negative part was some errors in textures (a lack of ambient lighting)
and the performance on my computer was decimated
My computer's performance was very worrying during development,
why I can easily run games strong as the PS3 and not mods from GZDoom???
That is until I ran this performance test on a modern PC from streets:
To conclude this report, in this year 2024 several beautiful improvements appeared for GZDoom.
including a Buld-In Quaternion, ".iqm" 3D models format with skeletons,
the VKDoom engine and many better 3D Models tools
This would be a good time to return to this project.....
even more because me and my brother are cooking up for years
a very interesting story and characters (hand draw, not IA)
but sorry, all this 2024-25, I'm very busy with another project.![]()
