I am trying GZDoom on the Raspberry Pi, latest sources, software renderer, and I find that scaling is very strange and ugly: pixels width seems to be badly "stretched", so things look very strange and over-pixelated. That did not happen with ZDoom (in software mode of course). Note that, on the Pi, scaling to fullscreen is done by GPU via SDL2, so I set a 320x200 video mode so NO software scaling is done, and then SDL2 scales fullscreen using the GPU.
IS any pre-scaling being done that was not done in old plain ZDOOM?? How can I disable it? (Yes, I tried the truecolor renderer options)
If there's no way now, could an option be added to behave like old, plain ZDOOM in this, please?
