If you're using a VPN, sometimes that can affect whether or not a link works. Discord oftentimes performs IP bans, which means your IP address (whether masked or not) would be excluded from consideration by the link. Thus, changing your VPN server can help to navigate around that.

If you're not using a VPN, it's possible someone else within the same IP address range may have been IP banned, and thus you got affected as well.

I’m a new person trying to join the discord but I keep being booted out and I’m unable to access the channel where I’m supposed to introduce myself. I have since changed my user as I was assuming that was the reason but I was booted even afterwards.

IP addresses are not unique or static for average Internet users. Your ISP may reassign addresses for various reasons. Discord may ban a range of IP addresses for some reason, which might include yours. All that is out of our control.

What is in our control are the users we've banned, and so far as I can tell the username(s) you provided are not in the ban list. I'm sorry but that's the best answer I have and getting more angry about it isn't going to solve the problem.
