Hi everyone,
My name is Resnik. I've been hanging around the GZDoom ecosystem on the creative side for a while, but I hadn't yet taken the plunge and registered on the official forum to engage in more concrete discussions. Like many others, I started out with very basic mapping, but I quickly moved on to gameplay mods and experimenting with ZScript. It's really fascinating what you can do with the engine when you push it a little. I'd be happy to discuss your WIPs or lend a hand if I can. I also have a few questions about managing graphics resources with Raze, so you'll probably see me in the technical sections soon!

Re: New Member Introductions
Hi, my name is Philipp. I came to the forum to share my idea of a doom launcher and to show working prototype i've built. I'm currently looking for buddies who is interested to join into the project. Also I would like to hear any feedback / critique or suggestions and find a tiny community of people who find my idea worthy. I do not want to develop it solo and I’d like to put my ideas to the test within the community.
However i cannot create the post in Launchers subforum. I do not understand what i have to do to post.

Hi, I want to create the new topic there. But i do not have permissions: You cannot post new topics in this forum. It's not related to pre-moderation. There is no button "create new topic"
I cannot find any related info in rules. What should I do to create topic there?

It could be because the forum also restricts user's abilities to do certain things until, they have posted enough times (i.e. they have a track record of making a few posts within the rules). I forget what the requirement is, but it's not a huge number of posts.
You will also find that your ability to use BB code is restricted until that time too.
I wasn't particularly aware that there was a posting restriction on that particular sub-forum though, but there could easily be (or maybe it's a more general new-thread restriction).
This is simply an unfortunate consequence of bots, spammers and abusive people misusing the forum, so we have to have protections in place. It's not ideal, but it's better than the bots etc having free reign on the forum. Unfortunately, that's just the reality of things. People come up with good stuff, and others do their best to spoil it for everyone.
It is not a reflection on you at all.

Ok, will try to post something later. It would be better to have sort of banner with explanation, why exactly i can't create topics. Or just show the "create topic" button, but throw error with explanations

Hello,
I’d like to introduce a web-based editor for ZDoom that I’m currently working on. It’s not finished yet, but I’ll post a demo as soon as it’s ready.
