There's something... off about the blue and red lights, something just doesn't look right, they're too dark to be lights IMO, if it were a pale blue and a slightly lighter red then it'd probably look considerably better. Though I'm certain that the problem is due to restrictions of the DOOM Palette.

The blue lights are exactly the same shades as LITEBLU4 from doom.wad and doom2.wad, and the red lights are just straight blue-to-red translations.

I thought they looked odd in doom2.wad, too, if that's any help.NiGHTMARE wrote:The blue lights are exactly the same shades as LITEBLU4 from doom.wad and doom2.wad, and the red lights are just straight blue-to-red translations.

Re: Custom Texture Thread.
Quite an achievement to get something good looking in pink with the paucity of pink in the Doom palette.
Still messing with fans. Added some intermediate frames to the Strife fan (raising it from 2 to 4 frames) to make the movement look smoother (and less like it is just oscillating back and forth). My intermediate frames are a little rough (especially the first one where I struggled to make the top-right blade not look bent) but with a nice fast animation rate you shouldn't notice too much.

Extra frames version

Re: Custom Texture Thread.
Some textures from the old Alice by American McGee
edit: link and download deleted
Sorry about that. I was under the impression that it was no longer sold. However, a Google search informed me differently.
One can still purchase it from their Amazon store http://astore.amazon.com/amemcgsblo-20

Sweet, I had ripped a fair few for my own use in some mods - Heretic++ uses edited Environment Maps as the Key Gizmo Spheres, and the liquid textures are used there.Kappes Buur wrote:Some textures from the old Alice by American McGee

I don't think those are "free-to-use"...Kappes Buur wrote:Some textures from the old Alice by American McGee

My eyes x_X
Tan, brown and black is fine but the red, green, blue and orange one looks terrible, maybe a different kind of shading would help
