Stone in the Wolfenstein wall palette. Made for the ceiling for my mod, a new version of which will be released when I don't know yet, so let it be right here.
Not quite in the palette, but if you convert, then nothing bad happens.
And there are a few others I've experimented with, so let's do it too.Not quite in the palette, but if you convert, then nothing bad happens.

Re: Custom Texture Thread.
Were you aware that it is possible to use "blend" in the textures lump to automatically recolor them now? naturally that wouldn't be an option for a "vanilla" set of levels but I assume zdoom usage on this forum.
I used to make a lot of recolored textures after I saw much they could change the atmosphere. I didn't know anything about layers and replaced each color individually. It was rather tedious and sometimes got inconsistent results AND I hardly used any of them, but they were fun to look at in my graphics folders.

Some non doom palette textures from some of the projects I'm working on. Feel free to steal use.

Cleaned up some of the caution signs as well as added a few new ones to the mix. I'm not sure who made the crusher one, I think hot/cold/biohazard/flammable were made by Enjay (whoever it was misspelled flammable though) and the laser is from vrack. The grey border actually has shading now instead of being a featureless flat colour. The alpha/beta signs have been given the same treatment too. I also included shadows for these so that they can be baked into textures easily. I'll eventually make a pack of these as decals (possibly with a few more edits) and toss that into 64k+

An artifact of the low resolution is that the snowflake from the cold sign looks to me more like a ship's wheel.

I don't think there's enough room to edit that one to say "boating school" unfortunately

The 2nd one is the better of the 2 IMO and that is for sure more readable. I'll update my decal pack with yours if that's alright with you.
EDIT: I adjusted the icon a bit. I don't like the icons for these using brown colours to blend between the grey and yellow and tried to use more of the golden yellow colours. I also made it symmetrical.

Not a problem at all - very happy for you to do that. And I agree that your improvements make it look better.zrrion the insect wrote:I'll update my decal pack with yours if that's alright with you.

Re: Custom Texture Thread.
I think possibly the second one. I actially like the sky in the first one but, in combination with the mountains, the overall colour matching is better in the second I think.EmperorGrieferus wrote:Which one is better?
Nice. I know that thunder isn't one of the four elements, but seeing that made me think that an equivalent set of textures for Earth, fire and air would compliment the default water ones nicely.Craneo wrote:Thunder-themed Heretic wall tile
