Huh, I was just talking about that very thing in the Project Ideas thread.
Definitely looking forward to your finished project!

Wow, you really gotta have a skip-cutscene thing.

Those chats take 5 years.

... Sorry but I ain't got the patience to wait for that a second time.

Yeah, the chat things take way too long. Also the reloading wouldn't be annoying if you had it automatic once you're empty. Reloading in weapons can be fun, but when it's not automatic it's just annoying.

I disagree; if a weapon reloads immediately when I empty my gun, then it just increases the chances that I'll die due to being stuck in a reload sequence. Better to make auto-reloads happen only when you dry-fire.

Agreed, and also, sometimes, I get stuck by mobs of peasents and reblels, this is VERY hard, but I LOVE the concept.

Will add a skip-cutscene thing, sorry. Forgot. And it's supposed to be hard. I have a friend not on the forums who does some of my playtesting, and gets the puzzle solved, but never in time to escape. He gets trapped shortly before the exit and stopped. After fighting through, he realizes that he is too late to escape the game, trapped there forever. It has happened to him twice.

Next version. I don't remember the changes. Sorry.
This is also the final version until later.

EDIT:

Please send feedback if anyone beats it.

EDEDIT:

Use "puke 666" to skip cutscenes.

Sorry for a ridiculous bump, but I lost track of this project due to Square Enix's final fantasy series. I don't know if I will be able to update this for a while yet, but has anyone actually beat it?

Good concept, bad implementation.

Read if you want more specific criticism; if not, please don't read this and get offended. if you do, it isn't my fault.

Seen all. If you have looked around the forums a bit, you'd find that this is my third public mod. I refer you to Zhexen and GZBlackmarsh. I quite enjoyed the mod myself, and I know a few people who also did. I agree about the weapons animations, it took more effort than I had the time for then to fix the sprites. The effectiveness of them is a necessity. They all are good against certain things, it just takes playing to figure out. It's a puzzle that I deliberately inserted.

Okay, I'm almost finished revising sprites, adding a grading system based on how well you do, and other finishing touches for the final. I enjoy playing it, I'll release two versions. A classic one, based on DooM's artwork, and a Hardcore, with Blood and DN3D art, etc. Maybe som ROTC. This will follow, with a trailer for my sequal that's been in development simultaniously. Version 1, the doom one, should be up tomorrow. Sorry for the wait, those who enjoyed it, and sorry for the refresh, those that don't. If anyone gets an "A", tell me, should be vey hard.

Okay, the final build, for those interested.

http://www.mediafire.com/?4c3paangd11vdo8

Don't watch the video unless you really want to, it messed up in the compile, so alot of the timing is off and it's overly long.

I am now working on the two sequals.

I repeat, if anyone gets an 'A' grade w/o cheats, tell me about it.
