What do you mean by 'everything works alright'?
If you mean rendering glitches I'm sorry that can't be fixed. This WAD uses some extreme rendering hacks and not all of them can be handled properly.

i ment, exactly like it looked and worked with doom2.exe, only with higher resolutions.
well... so i guess the best idea to re-play through it all would be firing up my dosbox... thanks for the feedback anyway

You can load it in ZDoom exactly the same way as you would with the original .exe, except where you would type 'doom2", you instead type 'zdoom'
. In other words 'zdoom -file eternal.wad'.
Alternatively, you can simply drag the .wad file on top of the ZDoom icon.

Chocolate Doom or PrBoom. As much of a ZDoom enthusiast I am, those are two very reliable ports for "old-time's sake".Gendo wrote:i ment, exactly like it looked and worked with doom2.exe, only with higher resolutions.

If he wants higher resolutions, that means PrBoom or Eternity, not Chocolate Doom.

I have the same question, I'm putting together a portable collection of famous Doom WADs using GZDOOM with links for ease, and the "-iwad DOOM -file ETERNALL.WAD" command line shortcut switch does not load eternal, it just launches Ultimate Doom. Any ideas how I can command line this to work? The Drag and drop doesn't work either, I get the ETERNAL title screen but still the normal episode selection. If you start an episode many of the textures are swapped out for Eternal textures

Eternal Doom is for Doom 2, not Ultimate Doom.Spladam wrote:I have the same question, I'm putting together a portable collection of famous Doom WADs using GZDOOM with links for ease, and the "-iwad DOOM -file ETERNALL.WAD" command line shortcut switch does not load eternal, it just launches Ultimate Doom.
