I've seen 3D models used for a shadow effect before. In that particular case, 1 model was a ceiling fan that was set to rotate. A second model was a very flat, translucent model with a skin that looked like the shadow of a fan. It was also set to rotate. Place both models in the same spot and it looks like the model on the floor is the shadow of the rotating fan above. Very cool.

Awesome. Best high-res, model using project I've seen. The shadows make it even more awesome. :)

This is post from Doomworld, but I copied it here, maybe anyone of you can solve my problem with latest versions og GZDoom.
I'm making final touches and to the end of the week I'm begin to insert monsters. Also, soon I will need several people to beta testing. I have a problem with slopes. I make this map for GZDoom 1.3, but this version don't support vavoom vertex slopes. This feature is available in latest GZdoom versions, but every version under 1.3 works slower with this map. Maybe this is reason of precache textures function. I will try to further reduce some of the texture and remove a few of them, maybe this helps and map will be playable on latest version of GZDoom.

A couple weeks ago, I was wondering whatever happened to this project. Glad to see you're still working on it. It's been 2 years since you announced it over here, and Im still dying to try it :D

So, did you split it into several sections (maps) as you planned?

I'd be happy to do some beta testing on this if you want to shoot it my way ;) I'm not extremely rigorous, but I'll do my best.

Oh well, then I might not be able to play it; I guess I could "freeze" and run through the static map at least to see it :P

Im not a good betatester, at all, but I'll say I am just for you to send it over here and try it ASAP :laff:

EDIT: or I could say I can help to know in which systems might work :P
