Having some great fun with this. Even though a lot of the fights are not quite my taste, this is a must play simply for the huge spectacle of it. Very impressive.
Not really sure why it comes bundled with GZdoom and an ini set up with defaults that don't suit my computer or my tastes though. Anyway, I just used my own install and I fixed the mapinfo too seeing as how someone had "broken" jumping and crouching.
I have only played the first 2 maps so far, and they are brilliantly mapped and quite fun, but there is one thing I must bitch about. The new sounds for the pistol/chaingun and shotgun are fucking HORRIBLE. It's so bad that I can't play with the sound on. I really don't understand why you'd change just these three weapons, and why you'd replace the sounds with something so obviously inferior.
And I'm curious as to what's up with all the barret set-ups. I've noticed a LOT of areas where strong monsters are, or large numbers of monsters, and there's often barrels placed around in chains that you're blatantly meant to shoot to blow up all the monsters. I have only played the first 2 maps, as I said, so if it just has something to do with the area I'm in, that's great. I just hope this trend doesn't continue in every map, it's getting a bit old D:
