Re: Site move in progress
Regarding the layout argument; I did post a suggestion directed to Randy, but I can't remember whether it was in this thread or the other one by DoomRater.
I basically said, "how about an additional option, the new layout but with the user info switched to the left".
I think Randy said to just deal with it because every other forum will start changing to this new layout.
I bet you the millions of forum users out there WILL complain - proabably on an ever larger scale. Only then it'll be a matter of time before someone comes up with a mod that switches the user info back to the left of the screen.

Just use the subsilver2 skin if you can't stand the layout.

Re: Site move in progress
Some people like the layout, but they want the avatars to the left.rivecoder wrote:Just use the subsilver2 skin if you can't stand the layout.

Few people have problems with subsilver2, such as Graf:

Re: Site move in progress
This may backfire on me, but I still think you people are all complaining over something very stupid. :/
The only argument I see that works is Graf's, because he can't tag stuff.

Go check out the board preferences in your user control panel again.Nash wrote:I basically said, "how about an additional option, the new layout but with the user info switched to the left".

Nice one randy, however, you need to move some of the user stuff, its all on the wrong side now

Re: Site move in progress
If the post buttons (Edit, Delete, Report, Quote) were moved to the bottom-right, then the online tag wouldn't be covered up. That said, it really doesn't bother me.randy wrote:Yeah, well, I don't know what to do with that.

I've switched back to ProSilver now that you can position the avatar on the left, and it's much nicer IMO. The only complaint I have now is that the "New posts" icon that shows next to the thread is much harder to see now compared to the "No new posts" icon. (Orange versus light blue) I get the best contrast when I'm using ProSilver Dark, but I have to wonder if a colorblind person would be able to see the difference at all.

Oh, the irony!Risen wrote:...actually, the site seems to be inaccessible. Well, it was a good idea...
I guess that e-mail Lunarpages sent me Sunday morning lied. It said they would suspend my account if they hadn't heard from me within 48 hours. Well, it's been longer than that, and the old site is still up and visible if you edit your hosts file to use the old IP for zdoom.org (216.227.209.174 aka arneb.lunarpages.com).
