Well, I'm using Firefox. So it's clearly not your browser.
I only quoted that to see what the new quote would look like.
However I've just noticed it says "BBCode is OFF" here in the posting thingy. I guess that's why.

Re: Site move in progress
The new forum design rocks! Definitely, as well as all the new nifty features :) But hey, the fact that avatar, name and info stuff is standing on the right side really sucks it all down :(

The new code tags are nice.
The scroll bars eliminate the need for spoiler'd code tags.
I don't know, I don't mind the user info being on the right.

Agreed. I massively prefer the old look.
EDIT: Also, PhpBB code is borked

Re: Site move in progress
It has been my experience that almost everyone is upset with basic aesthetic changes (such as moving the user info to the right) in interface systems but that they get used to it in short order.
That being said, if you really feel you need things to more closely resemble the old style, then use the subsilver2 skin, as edward has pointed it. It does things like return the user info to the left side.

It seems that during the conversion process, all forums that disallow regular users from posting new topics were also set not to allow these things.Project Dark Fox wrote:BBCode is disabled in News, both Bug forums, and in the Feature forums.
BBCode seems to work fine on any other board, though (smileys, too).

Hmm... this is a bit confusing. Oh well, I'll get used to it.

Blarg, please put the info boxes on the left again!
Other than that, looks shiny.

Re: Site move in progress
Wrong. This is not merely a simple aesthetic detail but a major change to reading itself.Zippy wrote:It has been my experience that almost everyone is upset with basic aesthetic changes (such as moving the user info to the right)
As Csonicgo pointed out in the other thread, Western languages are read from LEFT to RIGHT, TOP to BOTTOM. It is such a huge change that it's not even an aesthetical problem anymore.
